The Prettiest Author in Alabama

Hello and thanks for visiting my page!

My name is D.P. Johnson, and I'm an only child born to my late parents, Earnest Lee Perry Sr and Gloria Jean Johnson Perry.

My mother, a devoted writer, poured her heart into her works but sadly never saw her creations published. Writing has been my solace for as long as I can remember, and it was on the anniversary of my mother's passing that I released my debut book, 'The Grey Area'. My therapist guided me towards this significant step, suggesting that turning a day of tragedy into a celebration could help heal my wounds. A future book will be released on the anniversary of my father's passing as well.

Enduring bullying throughout my childhood due to my appearance was a painful chapter of my life, but I emerged stronger after high school. Embracing my uniqueness, I now proudly hold the title of The Prettiest Author in Alabama as a reminder of my self-worth and confidence.

Through my writing, I aim to whisk my readers away from reality, allowing them to learn, laugh, and be entertained within the pages of my work.

Lastly, but not least, I'm a single mother to my beautiful daughter who is currently serving our country in the United States Air Force. I LOVE being an Air Force Mom and I'm extremely proud of her commitment and dedication.
